Well, it looks like we bought ourselves a home.One of our school's supporters gave us a tip about a couple that was talking about selling their house.
We called them, had a few visits, checked out the place and the property carefully, talked some more, made an offer and got a positive response.
It is a 5 acre property that is well developed with lawns, gardens, two greenhouses, a pond, and a large field looking out toward the river and the mountains.
The house is 19 years old and needs some work, but nothing that would keep us from moving in and living through our first winter here.
It is not big, about 2000 sq ft. but it has a unique character with high ceilings in the living room, a tall window toward the mountain, and a nice wood stove.
We're pretty happy about this and we will DV have possession by the end of September.
We'll have access to our rental home till the end of October.
We took photos last Saturday when the weather was gorgeous.
They make the place come off a little nicer than it actually is.
