Season to Season

There is a certain melancholy to the end of the summer season.
Things have been so good, yet time moves on.

An early morning walk by the river makes the point. There's tranquility to the rising mists of vapour off the water. A stillness that does not mind our schedules, expectations or concerns for the future. It just goes as it has always, every season.
Time is not ours, it is God's. He allows us to travel along and, if we are conscious of it, to enjoy his sense of direction.
