January 1, 2009.
We wish all family and friends a very blessed 2009.
It is the year of the Lord. He has great plans that are meant for our good.
It was a real blessing to spend time together and enjoy a beautiful white Christmas.
Amy and Tim arrived first, then Judith and Jonathan. By time Kristen was ready to fly in the weather around Vancouver had turned for the worst. She was bumped to Calgary and could not make it out till the next day.
The same bad weather got Judith and Jonathan's return flights cancelled a week later. They ended up traveling back home on the Greyhound bus.
But the time together here was great.
The photos give a pretty good idea of that.
- The family picture was take while it was snowing. That's the horse enclosure behind us, but no, we do not have horses. [Kristen made the photo with her camera. If you want to keep a good quality version then click on the photo and save the resulting larger image to your computer. You could also check things out on Kristen's photo website.]
- Ian and Tim did their snowboarding and skiing in the field a couple of times while either Jonathan or I drove the ATV.
- We're a close walk to the Bulkley River. With the ice and bright sun it is truly a magical place to walk and meditate or to make photos.
- On Christmas eve we opened presents.
- During the holiday week we played outside, went to town a few times, sat around drinking coffee etc. and eating all kinds of good stuff, made gingerbread houses, and of course celebrated Christmas.
Blessed New Year everyone!
