On Wednesday morning Amy and Tim arrived. They flew from the cold, snowy Fraser Valley into the even colder clear skied Bulkley Valley. It is great to have them home. The are just catching up on sleep and settling in to relax for a while.
On Friday morning Judith and Jonathan touched down. Just that morning we found that we had no water in the house. The water intake line from the well was frozen. By time they arrived at home Jonathan joined Tim in trying to locate the problem. It turned out a small crawlspace vent near the water line needed to be closed and insulated to keep the frost out. That solved the problem.
With school over we now have the feeling that the holidays have really started. Sleeping in on Saturday morning, playing some board games and going out for firewood. On Saturday we also took the ATV out to try pull Ian on his skies but that didn't go so well. Funny that we did not make photos. It was just too cold for that.
We are looking forward to Kristen's arrival on Monday. Then the family will be complete for the Christmas celebrations and holidays.
