Spring, Rain, and ever changing seasons and events.

It is already a month after my last post and we have seen some rapid changes every week, and every day. Temperatures change, plants and trees break out in new growth. We had a dry spell and then a lot of rain. Suddenly we have to mow the grass ... a lot.

Time flies by so quickly. I had intended to update the blog much earlier but each weekend has been filled with school work-bees, home yard work, away trips, etc. At this rate we'll hit summer break before I share any photos. Better not.

Today is a glorious sunny day after many gloomy days of rain and clouds. All of the rain has swollen the river to high levels. The photo gallery shows the difference between the 15th to the 28th. There is much talk on the radio of flooding but our neighbourhood is dry. As long as we do not get a lot more rain or sudden quick snow melt in the mountains then the river level should recede slowly.
We went for a drive and stopped at the Moricetown bridge. The amount of water coming through right now is truly amazing. Compare the video clip to the photos of blog 8 and blog 60. Everything you see in those photos is under a strong current of water.

This weekend we have James Kanis and John Hollaar staying here. We are glad that we have the space to accommodate visitors when they drop by.
It is also so good having Amy over for a while. I think it is a good holiday for her and we just like having her around. Not that I have seen a lot of her up till today. School is extremely busy with end-of-year activities, 50 year anniversary activities, etc.

Well then, a few comments with the photos:
- Wilma had a great time in Kelowna. Playing Oma becomes her well.
- The photo of the four generations was taken in Kelowna. I edited the back ground out for clarity.
- We've moved a number more trees over to the property border near the pond. They seem to be taking well. Hopefully they will fill out sufficiently to create a natural, visual barrier in not too long a period of time.
- The greenhouse has in the mean time been cleaned out and planted. Wilma has most of her veggies in the greenhouse this year. This is because of the late start and to circumvent the deer from finishing half of it off as they did last year.
- Kristen's 'Mother's Day flowers' are still looking great.
- I build a floating dock to help us get around on the pond to clean it of weeds. It works really well. Now we need a permanent dock to attach it too.

We have three full weeks of classes left and then two weeks of exams.
Lots to do.
