New beginnings

In the last month a lot has happened. First Ian and I travelled with the senior basketball team to the Provincial championship tournament in Langley. The team was ranked 12 and finished 6th. It was quite a trip with opportunities to catch up with some family and friends as well.

Shortly after we had our Spring break trip to Edmonton. The aim for the four of us was to see Amy and to give Timon a prairie experience. I think we were successful.
The trip through the Rockies was once again an occasion where we were privileged to experience a sense of God's greatness. We had snow, sun, saw deer, moose, elk, etc. The distances on the prairies and the grandeur of the mountains never fail to impress and to inspire awe and praise.
We had a good time with Amy in spite of her busy schedule. It was good to see her active in her own environment.
The hours spend in a mall were okay as well, be it of quite a different character.

While the boys and I returned home Wilma had a few days to spend with Judith, Jonathan, and Ella. By all accounts they had a delightful time together.

On our return we found the beginnings of spring warm-up. Ever since the pace of melt-up and warmer days has picked up. The snow pack on the field will take some time yet because we've had so much during this winter. The run-off is bound to put a lot of water into the rivers.

This Easter weekend was truly beautiful. The sun and blue skies were a great gift that emphasized the message of new beginnings and life, accomplished through the resurrection of Christ.
