One more week to go to Christmas break. We are ready for it.
We are looking foreword to a time of holidays with Amy and Tim here.
We have enough snow for some fun, but not a whole lot yet. The winter has been surprisingly mild. Temperatures have stayed below zero throughout but sometimes not by much.
A very light snowfall nearly every day dusts the trees and makes the world look wonderful.
Not that we have had all kinds of time to pay attention to that. We drive to school in the dark in the morning and usually it is nearly dark by time we go home. There's been a lot of work and a good bit of stress with discipline situations, report cards, school transitions, work on changes to administrative structures, etc.
So, weekends are good.
Mom is working on beautifying the inside of the house. After the busyness of her reportcards eased she decided to tackle painting in the living room. We're really going to like this. We've lived with a grunginess of the untreated walls long enough.
Ian is enjoying school. He just brought home a very impressive report card. In Foods class he is working on a ginger bread house. It is actually quite unusual and creative. Unfortunately some mice got into the room at night and helped themselves to part of the chocolate roofshingles. Ian had one of his buddies over on Saturday afternoon. They finished the day multitasking playing computer games and watching the Canucks play / loose.
With the photo blog I included a photo of Tim doing his presentation at BCIT. I found here on a sidetrack from his Facebook page. Okay, Tim. I couldn't resist.
Sunday morning welcomed us to a good dump of snow. I actually went out to plough the driveway before church.
