The holidays are over. Amy and Tim have flown back to the Lower Mainland and returned to their studies.
We have our first week of school behind us.

We enjoyed a very relaxing break with few expectations and demands. These were times of fun and rest.
I have posted a few photos but this time let me just share some movies. These were taken on a late afternoon with various camera's so the quality and light is not optimum.

I find it amazing to realize that all this good fun is happening on our own property. We feel so blessed with a place of space in a setting of beauty where we can have family over and enjoy company and activity.

Gratitude has been much of the underlying thought during these days.

Seeing every one doing well, being healthy and occupied is a good gift indeed. 

The progression of time moves all of us on into our own lives doing different things as various places, yet with the common strand of our dependence on God and our love for Jesus.

Keeping the big picture is not always easy but it helps to see God's hand of blessing when we stare ourselves blind on the details of our daily concerns.

I am thankful for the work-related changes for next school year. I welcome a period of less stress and more opportunity to do things other than school work especially art work. I have some visual ideas that have been on hold that I really want to commit to canvas. Stay tuned for those.

Skype technology is another thing for which we are grateful. We really enjoy the occasional 'baby visit' with Ella. Here is a video look over Wilma's shoulder. It is the tail end of an encounter that was much more peaceful than the clip would indicate: 

Ian has joined the school junior basketball team. Yesterday was the first day of competition. They won one of three games. Fortunately it did not involve travel outside town. That will probably come yet in the next weeks.

The forecast for this week sees the temperatures dropping below 20. That's okay. We have lots of firewood. We are settling in for the next stretch of winter and work and we are fine with that.
